Mohammad Ekhlaque Ahmed Holds a Master degree in Business Administration from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. Mohammad Ekhlaque Ahmed has over 30 years of working in Corporate Sectors on Senior Management positions in both multinational and local companies. Mohammad Ekhlaque Ahmed worked for Philips, Osram, Dadabhoy Cement and Rajby Industries before joining IoBM as permanent faculty. Besides basic marketing courses like Marketing Management, Principles of Marketing, Sales Management he has been teaching Strategic Marketing Planning, Marketing Strategies with Value Innovation, Distribution and Channel Management. Mohammad Ekhlaque Ahmed is also pursuing MPhil in Business Management from IoBM. Mr. Ekhlaque is also a Corporate Trainer in the field of Marketing & Management.

Has also been associated as Visiting Faculty in several Business Schools including IobM, IBA, Szabist, Iqra University. Mohammad Ekhlaque Ahmed joined IobM as Assistant Professor & Lead Experiential Learning projects since January 2015. Ahmed worked for Rajby Industries, a renowned manufacturers and exporters of Textiles and Value added products as Director Operations for about 10 years. Earlier on he served Philips Lighting for about 13 years in their Marketing Department and looked after diversified business portfolio covering both Institutional and Projects and Fast Moving Consumer markets. He grew to the position of General Manager-Marketing & Sales in Philips. He also worked for 2 years each as General Manager-Marketing & Sales in Dadabhoy Cement and as Country Manager in Osram Lighting.

On academic side Ahmed has been teaching for the last 17 years as Visiting Faculty. Though his core area has been Strategic Marketing, Mohammad Ekhlaque Ahmed also taught subjects related to Strategic Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior and Strategic Management. Ahmed served Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan as Examiner and Paper Setter for several years.

Mr.Ekhlaque Ahmed is also a social Entrepreneur, he has taken initiative and come up with the ideology of GEAR 9 years back to provide financial support to skilled individuals for their self-survival with honor and dignity. GEAR is serving the underprivileged section of the society by providing micro financing (without interest) and technical support to create self-employment . Around 1400 families have been helped by GEAR since its inception. The social organization has now been converted into Trust which has been joined by renowned business leaders and corporate managers. Ekhlaque is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
